FenceBox Privacy Policy

Last updated: 25 September 2026

FenceBox is a dots-and-boxes game. It has no accounts, no ads and no analytics. This page explains the little data the app does handle.

Data kept on your device

Your settings, statistics, daily puzzle progress and the name shown to nearby players are stored only on your phone. They are never sent to us. Uninstalling the app deletes them.

The default player name is the name you gave your phone in its settings (or its model name). You can change it in FenceBox's settings at any time.

Playing someone nearby

Nearby play connects two phones directly over Bluetooth or the local Wi-Fi network. Only your player name and the moves of the game pass between the two phones. Nothing goes through our servers.

On Android 11 and older, Android requires the location permission for Bluetooth scanning. FenceBox asks for it only for that reason and never reads or stores your location.

Crash reports

If the app crashes, it sends a crash report through Firebase Crashlytics, a Google service. A report contains technical details: the error, your device model, Android version, app version and an installation identifier generated by Crashlytics. It does not contain your name, your contacts or your location. We use these reports only to fix bugs. See Firebase's privacy information.

Purchases

The one-time unlock is sold through Google Play. Google handles the payment; we never see your payment details. The app only asks Google Play whether this account owns the unlock. See Google's Privacy Policy.

Children

FenceBox is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Your choices

You can clear the app's data or uninstall it at any time. To ask about crash reports linked to your installation, or anything else in this policy, contact us.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
